Active in Ireland for over eighty years, Siemens has been involved in many key infrastructure projects, commencing with the Shannon hydroelectric power scheme in 1926. Major projects have included the construction of many of Ireland’s power plants, large scale transportation solutions and the introduction of the most up to date medical imaging systems to Ireland’s hospitals.

Cork is Ireland's 2nd largest city and was European Capital of Culture in 2005. It has excellent infrastructure, public transport, accommodation and cultural diversity. Cork is known for it’s friendly and diverse local population.

Cork is easy to get to, with international connections to all European cites from Cork International Airport, there are central bus & train station that runs regular services to all Cork City and across Ireland.

Cork presents excellent residential options including corporate housing and apartments at a very reasonable cost.
Activities in Cork include water sports, horse riding and racing, tennis, rugby, soccer and Gaelic football. A variety of gyms, leisure centres and spas are all available in the City. There are numerous quality restaurants and hotels within Cork City and the miles of spectacular coastline provide the perfect getaway within a 20-minute drive from the City.
